“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)

Many of us know what the Bible says about grace and faith but few of us live like we really believe it. Those aren’t just theological words that explain salvation; they’re the keys to living the victorious life promised in Scripture. Each day, faith receives what God’s grace provides. The question is: Are you living what you believe?

Joshua gives us a beautiful picture of this truth. God had already promised Israel the land of Canaan. It was His gift, secured by His covenant and His faithfulness. Their victory wasn’t something they had to achieve; it was something they had to receive by faith. Yet they still had to cross the Jordan, submit to circumcision, and trust God while they were completely vulnerable.

The same is true for us. God has already provided everything we need to live the victorious Christian life. His grace isn’t just what saved us; it’s what sustains us. When we’re weak, discouraged, or facing something difficult, God doesn’t call us to achieve the victorious life in our own strength. He calls us to receive, by faith, what His grace has already provided.

That’s why Paul could endure his own weakness and say, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). God’s grace is enough—not only to save you, but to strengthen you, sustain you, and enable you to faithfully follow Him today.

But having God’s provision isn’t the same as living in it. Why do so many believers fail to experience the life God has provided? The same reason the previous generation of Israelites never entered the Promised Land—unbelief. Knowing God’s promises isn’t enough. Faith acts on them. There’s a major difference between agreeing with what God says and ordering your life around it. Faith is living like everything God says is true.

Are you really living what you believe? Grace isn’t just how we begin the Christian life—it’s how we live it. Every day God provides the strength, wisdom, courage, and power we need, and every day faith receives what He provides. Don’t settle for simply knowing God’s promises. Trust Him. Obey Him. Receive what His grace has already provided. And live what you believe.
