If you would have asked me ten years ago where I thought Bucky Kennedy Ministries would be today, I would have been totally wrong. The only thing I knew for sure was that God was calling me out of local church ministry and into evangelism full time.
In my mind, that meant things like preaching revivals and men’s conferences. And for several years, that’s exactly what I did—until Covid came along. In March of 2020, a calendar full of preaching events suddenly evaporated, leaving me with more questions than answers. But looking back, I clearly see a decade of God’s faithfulness.
The Covid Shift
As churches adjusted to online ministry, BKM already had a platform in place. We quickly shifted from a traveling ministry to a digital resource focused on equipping and encouraging believers. We also focused on reaching the lost, who were asking a lot of spiritual questions in those days. We didn’t know it at the time, but our short video devotionals were basically modern-day YouTube “shorts.” Who knew I was a trend setter? (Sarcasm alert!)
Surprised Again
Then in late 2020 God surprised me again when He put me back into the pastorate at North Hall Church. I wasn’t sure what role BKM would have, as my time was much more limited. But God knew how the two ministries would work hand-in-hand. Instead of slowing down, BKM actually grew, reaching places I never thought possible. Over the last decade, people in 222 countries have accessed our podcast, devotions, articles, and video sermons. It is beyond my wildest dreams.

My Utmost Gratitude
Since then, we’ve been able to maintain a strong digital approach, in large part due to the excellent and tireless work of Lea Eppling. I am extremely grateful for her constant attention to this ministry. Honestly, I don’t know that it would work without her.
I am also grateful—and humbled—by the generous financial support of friends, as well as people I’ve never met, who see the value of this ministry. If you have at any point given to BKM…thank you! We have experienced God’s faithfulness through you. Even during the hardest months of the pandemic, we were never without the financial resources we needed.
North Hall Church is also an incredible support for BKM. They encourage me and affirm the work being done through BKM. They have a heart to see the gospel preached to the nations. Their partnership is amazing. The NHC Tech Team makes the podcast and YouTube channel possible. We’ve come a long way from shooting the podcast in my garage!
Finally, I am beyond grateful to have a wife who supports me and walks with me in ministry. We left the security of a wonderful church and people we dearly loved in Vidalia, Georgia to follow the Lord and start this ministry. Stacey’s faithfulness to the Lord is a huge blessing in my life.

Looking Ahead
What does the next ten years hold for BKM? Only God knows. But here’s what I do know: we’ll continue to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and follow where He leads. And I have no doubt He’ll surprise me again. I just want to move at the speed of God. My prayer is that we see another decade of God’s faithfulness—and another decade of faithfully following Him. If it’s anything like the first 10 years…TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
