North Hall Church recently hosted a prophecy night, featuring Dr. J.B. Hixson. He spoke about how the rise of technocracy fits into end-times prophecy, including a one-world government established under the Anti-Christ. His presentation highlighted systems that are already operational in our culture, along with documented statements from industry leaders. While much of this information can be unsettling, it’s not cause for alarm among believers. Christians can—and should—approach biblical prophecy without panic. Here’s why…

Understanding what Scripture says about the end times should encourage us to live with both hope and urgency. Hope—because we are living within God’s sovereign plan for this world and for eternity. Urgency—because time is short, and the gospel must be shared so lost people can come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Remember, the world is not spinning out of control; it’s spinning to a conclusion. That truth should awaken a deep concern for those who don’t yet know Christ. In His mercy, God is still extending His hands to the lost. “The Lord is not slow about His promise… but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). But a day is coming when God will no longer restrain His wrath. The final soul will be saved, and He will rapture His Bride—the Church.

Our response to these realities reveals a lot about our spiritual condition. Are we consumed with our own routines, unconcerned about what lies ahead for those outside of Christ? Do we avoid end-times prophecy altogether because it makes us feel uncomfortable? Or, are we salt and light to the world around us? Fear produces panic, but faith produces hope and urgency.

I encourage you not only to watch Dr. Hixson’s presentation, but also to examine your response to it. Visit BKM’s End Times Collection to grow in your understanding of biblical prophecy. One of the best remedies for anxiety about the future is confidence in the sure promises of God. Is it sobering to read about what the lost will endure? Yes. And that’s very thing that should compel us to share Jesus—today.
