Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego’s encounter with the fiery furnace was the result of a godly rebellion. The world and Satan still create furnaces today—intense situations that are only avoided by compliance and compromise. The book of Daniel teaches us how to respond to the mandates of godless leaders and culture (Daniel 3).
